This is the first time I have posted on this forum, but everyone out here has been a great help in assisting others (and myself by reading the replies), so I was hoping someone knows the answer to my question.
Okay, here goes... as in the Guardian of Semerkhet (guard.wad), how do you get the 'breakable eye switch' (animating8) to break when the guardian/bull/sphinx runs into it?
I would like to use this type of switch in my level to open a door. When the guardian/bull runs into it, it does not break therefore my door will not open. I have looked at the original level it is used in, but I cannot tell how the switch is set up.
If anyone knows how this is done, it would be great help. Thanks.

I haven't tried this switch myself, but you may be able to get some more info from the project by checking the triggers and the OCB for the objects involved. Make sure you click on the pink trigger squares in the Plan View window to read what each one is designated for, then you can check the 'set trigger type' window for specific settings. Also, highlight the switch or any other objects involved and press 'o' on your keyboard to bring up the Object Code Bit menu to see if there are any special settings. Good luck and don't give up!
